You were asked to allow RelayDock. This is what that allows.
RelayDock is a connection service. When a business uses an AI assistant to answer customers and book appointments, RelayDock links the business's own calendar and messaging accounts to that assistant, and carries only what those features need.
- Passes to your assistant
- Free and busy times, so the assistant offers only open slots.
- Passes back to your account
- The appointments it books, moves or cancels for you.
- Permission it asks for
- View your calendars; view and edit events.
The line to anyone else stays open. Your data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models.
Why this name, and not the one you know
You may know your assistant under another company's name. Several assistant products are built on the same connection service, so Google, Meta and Instagram show that service's name, RelayDock, on their permission screens.
Nothing connects on its own. Someone with access to your business's settings chose to connect that account, and the permission screen you saw was the last step.
RelayDock asks only for the access listed above, and only for the account you picked.
What RelayDock does with what it carries
| Account | Reads | Writes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | Busy time ranges, and the events it created. | Appointment events: create, update, cancel. |
| WhatsApp Business | Messages sent to your number, delivery status, and replies your team sends from the WhatsApp Business app. | Replies inside the 24-hour customer service window. |
| Direct messages sent to your account, and replies your team sends from the Instagram app. | Replies inside the 24-hour reply window. |
Checked on every connection
